If you've ever stuffed a dead battery into your car and didn't realize it until lap-two of your race then you'll love this tip. Devise some sort of simple plan to store your batteries in a certain way depending on if they are charged or discharged. There are all sorts of tricks you can use but a simple one is to store all charged batteries with the wires and plugs forward in your carry case (toward the opening of the case) and keep all discharged batteries in the opposite direction (plugs and wires backward toward the hinge of your carry case). This way you can make a quick reference to your pile of power and know exactly which ones have current in them and which ones don't.
